6E Club FAQ: Quick Answers on Videos, Uploads, Channels, the App and Safety
Checked · 6E Club help guide
The 6E Club FAQ collects the questions people ask most about 6E Club and answers each in a few sentences. The answers are grouped by what you are trying to do: get started, watch, upload, run a channel, use the app, or deal with a safety or copyright problem. Every answer links back to the fuller guide where the topic needs more than a paragraph.
Two tables sit between the groups: the limits that apply to every account, in one place, and who to contact for what. If your question is not here, the last section tells you where to ask.
How to Use the 6E Club FAQ
Each group below opens one question at a time, so you can scan the titles and tap only the one you need. Answers describe the platform as it works today; features that are planned but not built, such as an iPhone app, live streaming or an earnings programme, are named as planned or absent rather than promised. When a limit changes, this page changes with it.
If you are brand new, the first group and the register page are enough to get going. Creators should read the uploading and channel groups together with the upload guide, which has the step-by-step version with screenshots described in words.
Getting Started
What is 6E Club and what can I do on it?
It is a free video platform: watch HD videos with subtitles and playlists, follow channels, comment, keep history and Favorites, and upload your own clips from a browser or the Android app. It is designed for phones on mobile data first, works on any screen, and has no paid plan or earnings programme in this version.
Is 6E Club free, or is there a subscription?
Everything is free: watching, uploading, playlists, comments, the creator studio and the app. There is no subscription, no in-app purchase and no fee to register. If a page, message or app asks you to pay to unlock, activate or verify anything in the name of the platform, it is not from us and should be reported.
Do I need an account to watch videos?
No. Public videos, channels, playlists and search are open to everyone. An account adds history with resume, Favorites, your own playlists, likes, comments, the follow bell and, after you confirm your email, uploading. Registering takes about a minute and asks only for an email, a username, a password and a birth year.
How old do I have to be to create an account?
Thirteen or older. The sign-up form asks for your birth year and blocks younger ages. Settings that show mature or restricted content are for adults aged 18 and over only. Parents of younger children can still let them watch public videos together without an account, with Hide sensitive content on by default.
What are the password rules?
At least eight characters, with at least one letter, one number and one symbol. Longer is better than complicated: a short sentence you can remember beats a word with a digit on the end. The platform never asks for your password or one-time code by email, chat or phone, so any such request is a scam.
My 6-digit email code did not arrive. What now?
Check the spam and promotions folders first, and make sure the email address you typed is right in Settings. The code is valid for three hours, and the verification page has a Resend button that sends a fresh one. If nothing arrives after two tries, the customer care page explains what to send the support inbox so we can look at the delivery log.
Watching Videos
Why does a video start in low quality on my phone?
On mobile data the player starts at 360p so playback begins quickly, then Auto raises the quality as your connection allows. You can pick 720p or 1080p by hand from the gear menu once they exist. A video uploaded minutes ago may offer only its original file until the encoder has produced the other levels.
How do I save data while watching?
Turn on eco mode in the quality menu; it caps playback at 720p on any network, which is hard to tell from 1080p on a phone screen and uses roughly half the data. Turning autoplay off at the top of the up-next column also helps, because it stops the next video from playing when you put the phone down.
Where is the subtitles button in the player?
Tap the CC button in the player or press C on a keyboard, then pick the language. Subtitles exist only when the creator uploaded a .srt or .vtt file, so the button is greyed out on videos without one. The platform does not generate subtitles automatically in this version; ask the creator in a comment if you need them.
Can I change the playback speed?
Yes, from 0.25× to 2× in the gear menu. The setting stays for the next video you open in the same session. A long lecture at 1.5× saves a third of the time; a recipe at 0.75× gives you a moment to keep up. Speed does not change the quality or the data used per minute of video.
What keyboard shortcuts does the player have?
Space plays or pauses; the left and right arrows jump five seconds; J and L jump ten; the up and down arrows change volume; M mutes; F toggles fullscreen; C toggles subtitles; the digits 0 to 9 jump to that tenth of the video; and ? shows the whole list over the picture. On a phone, double-tap either side to skip ten seconds.
Will a video resume from where I left off?
Yes, while you are signed in and history is on. Your position is saved every few seconds, so the same video continues from that point on any device. Pausing or clearing history in the Library switches resume off along with the history list. Without an account the player starts from the beginning each time.
What is the difference between Favorites and a playlist?
Favorites is a single private list you add to with one tap on the bookmark icon, a quick watch-later shelf. Playlists are collections you name and arrange yourself, up to 250 videos each with a title of up to 50 characters, and they can be public on your channel, unlisted or private. Both live under Library.
Can I download a video to watch offline?
Only when the uploader turned on the download switch for that video, in which case a Download button appears under the player and saves the MP4. Without the button, the video streams only. Tools that promise to grab any video are not supported, usually breach the uploader’s rights, and often carry malware.
Uploading
What file types and sizes can I upload?
MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV and AVI, up to 4 GB and 2 hours per file, with a daily allowance of 15 uploads and 10 hours of video. The uploader checks size and length before sending anything, so a file that is too large is refused at once rather than failing at the end. MP4 with H.264 video is the safest choice.
How long does processing take?
The video is watchable in its original quality the moment the upload completes; you can share the link straight away. The 360p, 720p and 1080p versions usually follow within minutes, depending on length and the queue, and the quality menu fills in on its own. The studio shows the state: Uploading, Optimizing, then Live.
What happens if my connection drops mid-upload?
The upload runs in chunks and resumes from the last completed chunk when the connection returns, as long as the page stays open. If you reload or close the page, pick the same file again and the uploader offers to resume the open upload instead of starting over. Details you typed are saved as you go.
What do Public, Unlisted, Private, Password and Scheduled mean?
Public appears in feeds, search and your channel. Unlisted plays for anyone with the link but is not listed anywhere. Private is visible only to you. Password asks viewers for a word you set before playing. Scheduled is Private until the date and time you choose, then becomes Public and notifies your followers.
Can I change the title, thumbnail or visibility later?
Yes. Open the video in the creator studio and use the edit drawer to change the title, description, hashtags, category, language, visibility, labels, switches and thumbnail at any time. Thumbnails can be one of three automatic frames or an image you upload. Changes apply within seconds; the video does not reprocess.
Why does my upload say Action needed?
The file arrived but something stops it from going live: a required field such as the title or category is missing, the encoder could not read the file, or a copyright claim hid it pending review. The studio shows the reason next to the state. Fix the field or replace the file; for a claim, read the copyright page about counter-notices.
Limits at a Glance
These are the numbers that come up again and again in support mail. They apply to every account equally; there is no higher tier. Where a limit protects viewers, such as the daily upload allowance, it is also the reason the feed stays usable.

Channels and the Creator Studio
How do I set up my channel?
Your username is already your channel handle. In the studio, open Channel to add a name of up to 50 characters, a tagline of up to 45, a description of up to 350, links, a country, an avatar of at least 160×160 pixels and up to 2 MB, and a 2048×512 banner. Save, and the channel page updates at once.
Can I change my username or handle?
Yes, once every seven days. The handle is 3 to 27 characters of letters, digits, dots and underscores, and must be free. Old links to your channel stop working when it changes, so update any bio or description that points to it. Your videos, followers, playlists and history are unaffected by the change.
What does the creator studio show?
A videos table with filters and bulk visibility changes, an edit drawer for details and thumbnails, analytics with views, watch time and followers over 7, 28 or 90 days plus your top videos, a playlists tab, comment moderation with reply, delete, pin and heart, channel customisation, and a strikes page showing the state of your account.
How do followers and the bell work?
Follow adds your channel to a viewer’s Following feed. If they also turn on the bell, they get a notification each time you publish a public video, including a scheduled one going live. Follower counts are public on the channel page; the list of who follows you is visible to you in the studio analytics.
Can I turn off comments or moderate them?
Both. Comments can be switched off per video in the edit drawer and are always off on videos marked made for kids. In the studio Comments tab you can reply, delete, pin one comment to the top of a thread and heart others. Blocking a person from their profile hides them from your channel and all your comment threads.
The Android App and iPhone
Where do I get the real Android app?
From the download block on the app page, where the signed APK is published with its size and SHA-256 checksum, and later from the Play Store listing linked in the same block. Those are the only sources. An APK that arrives by WhatsApp, Telegram or a download site is not ours, whatever its icon and name say.
Is there an iPhone app?
Not yet. On an iPhone, open the site in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. The icon opens the site full-screen with the same account, player and lists, and it updates on its own because it is the live website. An iOS build is planned; the app page will say when it exists, and nothing in the App Store today is ours.
Can I use one account in both the app and the browser?
Yes. Sign in with the same email or username and password, and your history, Favorites, playlists, followed channels and channel settings are all there. The app stays signed in for 30 days, like the browser. Watching in the app on the way home and continuing on a laptop from the same second works without any setup.
What permissions does the app ask for?
Internet, access to your photos and videos only at the moment you tap Upload, and notifications only if you turn on the bell for a channel. It never asks for contacts, SMS, call logs, location, an accessibility service or device-admin rights. An installer that requests any of those is a repackaged copy and should not be installed.
What does the app do that the browser does not?
Bottom tabs for Home, Shorts, Upload, Library and You; an entry in the Android share sheet, so a clip from your gallery uploads in two taps; and deep links, so a video address from a chat opens in the app player. The player, account and lists are identical, so the browser is a fine choice if you mostly watch.
Safety and Copyright
How do I report a video, a comment or a channel?
Open the three-dot menu on the item and tap Report. Pick one of twelve reasons, say whether the problem is the whole video or a part of it, add details, and leave an email if you want to hear the outcome. Reporting a video needs no account. A person reviews each report and can remove the item, restrict it to adults or keep it.
Someone uploaded my video. How do I get it taken down?
Use the copyright request form, reached from the Report menu or the copyright page. It asks for the video link, what you own, proof such as the original file or a link to it, your contact details and a statement that the claim is made in good faith. A valid notice is acted on within 36 hours, and the uploader may send a counter-notice.
What is a strike and how long does it last?
A strike is recorded against a channel when a video is removed for breaking the community guidelines or after a confirmed copyright claim. Each strike lasts 90 days. Three active strikes mean a seven-day upload ban, and a new strike during a ban means suspension. Every removal and strike can be appealed once within six months.
How do I block someone?
Open their channel or tap their name in a comment, choose the three-dot menu and tap Block. They can no longer comment on your videos, reply to you or see your channel, and they are not told. Blocking is instant and can be undone in Settings. Report the account as well if the behaviour broke the rules.
What does Hide sensitive content do?
It keeps videos that reviewers restricted to adults out of your feeds, search results and recommendations. It is on for every account by default and cannot be switched off by anyone under 18. Creators must mark sensitive uploads themselves; a report can also lead to a video being restricted after review.
What is not allowed on the platform?
Content you do not have the rights to, sexual content involving minors, harassment, threats, hate, dangerous acts shown for imitation, spam, scams, and anything a lawful order requires to be removed. The community guidelines explain each category with examples, how reviews work, and how to appeal a decision you think is wrong.
I paid money to a page that used the name. What should I do?
The platform never asks for money, so the page was a fraud. Report it at the national cybercrime portal or call 1930 as soon as possible, because banks can sometimes stop a transfer in the first hours. Change any password you typed into that page, and tell our support inbox the address so we can report it for takedown.
Who to Contact for What
Most problems have a button before they need a person: Report for content, the copyright form for rights, Block for a user, and the fixes on the customer care page for playback, upload and sign-in trouble. When you do need a person, the table shows the right route, so your message reaches the team that can act on it.
| Problem | Route | What to include |
|---|---|---|
| A video, comment or channel breaks the rules | Report button in the three-dot menu | Reason, part of the video, details, optional email |
| Someone uploaded content you own | Copyright request form | Video link, what you own, proof, contact details, good-faith statement |
| Your video was removed or you got a strike | Appeal from the strikes page in the studio | Why the decision was wrong, within 6 months |
| Sign-in, email code or password trouble | Customer care page, then the support inbox | Username, what you tried, any error text |
| Upload stuck or failed | Customer care page, then the support inbox | File type, size, length, the state shown |
| A fake app, page or helpline uses the name | Support inbox; also report fraud at 1930 | The address or file, screenshots |
| Complaint under the IT Rules 2021 | The 6E Club grievance team via the contact page | Acknowledged within 24 hours, resolved within 15 days |
| Privacy or data deletion | Settings → Delete account, or the contact page | Deletion is immediate after password confirmation |
The contact page lists the inboxes. Fraud involving money is a police matter as well: the national cybercrime portal takes reports online around the clock. The obligations platforms carry under the IT Rules are published by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, and the Copyright Act, 1957 is explained by the Copyright Office.

Before You Ask Anyone for Help
Support will never ask for your password, your 6-digit code or a payment, and never contacts you first on WhatsApp or Telegram. Any "helpline" number or chat account that does is a fraud using the name. Use only the routes in the table above, and keep your account details out of screenshots you send.
If a question here involves a child, a threat, or someone sharing a private video of you, do not wait for a reply: use Report with the matching reason so it reaches review at once, and for anything criminal contact the police or the Childline service on 1098 as well.
Accounts are for people aged 13 and over; mature-content settings need 18+. Every video, comment and channel has a Report button, and reports are reviewed by people. Never share your password or a one-time code with anyone who contacts you in the name of 6E Club. Read the safety guide, including the section for parents.
Still Stuck After the 6E Club FAQ?
This 6E Club FAQ covers the questions that reach support most often, but a short answer is sometimes not enough. The watching, upload, channel and app guides linked throughout go deeper, with tables and steps, and the online safety guide and community guidelines explain the rules and the review process in full.
If none of that settles it, the customer care page has the fixes we see most and the way to reach a person. Questions that come in often are added here, so asking helps the next reader too.
